The next election will be the general election on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Orfordville Fire Station, 173 N. Wright Street in Orfordville.

The deadline to request to vote absentee by mail is Nov. 1, 2018; Nov. 2, 2018 for in-person absentee voting. All in-person absentee voting in the Town of Spring Valley is by scheduled appointment. Please note that the voter ID law is in effect when applying for an absentee ballot.
The June 11th Town Board meeting agenda was published incorrectly in the June 6th Independent Register. The correct agenda can be seen by clicking on the meeting under ‘Calendar of Events’ on right side of the home page. The meeting will include the appointment of a town clerk to finish out the current term.
Letters to property owners who have changes to their assessment have been mailed. You can contact Grota Appraisals at (262) 253-1142 if you have questions on your assessment.
Open Book will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Orfordville Fire Station. Open Book is the opportunity to discuss your property’s assessed value with the town assessor in an informal setting. Appointments are not necessary. The Board of Review will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 12:00-2:00 p.m., also at the Fire Station. Please see the official notice under the "Minutes and Agendas" tab for information on how to appear before the board.
Spring Valley’s recycling drop-off is the 2nd Saturday of every month, from 9 a.m. – noon in the parking lot of the Rock County Public Works Garage just north of Orfordville on Hwy. 213. Upcoming dates are: – January 12 – February 9 – March 9, 2019.
The annual town meeting will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. At the annual meeting, as with any town meeting of the electors, the voting-eligible residents of the town make motions and vote on the meeting items.
The annual meeting will be followed by a public hearing for a conditional use permit, and then the regular April town board meeting.
